Hello everyone. This is Bella’s mom again with another little story in the life and sweet times of Bella. As many of you know, if you read Bella’s story, that I adopted Bella in July of this year from the Iberia Parish Humane Society. She was at the Humane Society when she got out of her pen and got hit by a car and lost her right rear leg. After the accident, she was placed in a foster home while she recovered from her injury. That’s where I first went to visit Bella and fell totally in love with her. To cut the story down a little, last weekend was Bella’s first time to visit with her foster family since she came to live with me in July. Cheryl and Mike, her foster mom and dad, met Bella and I at the dog park with their three pups, Sophie, T-George, and Emma. Bella’s initial meeting with her three friends was one of total chaos and excitement with much tail-wagging and squealing going on. It melted my heart to see how those four dogs interacted with one another with such excitement, recognition, camaraderie, and general fall all over themselves love for one another. We were all so tangled up in dog leads we thought we were going to have to cut ourselves free. Once we figured out which lead was attached to what dog, we removed ourselves from the tangled mess and proceeded to have the most wonderful time at the park. Very often I would see Bella loving up on Cheryl and Mike as if to thank them for giving her a chance at having a good life. All the while looking over at me as if to say, “I love you more, mom.” It was very touching and only confirmed all the more why it is that I love that beautiful girl of mine. While Mike and Cheryl gave her a wonderful new start, Bella surely knows that in my home she has a Life Worth Living, and she never stops telling me thank you. Bella would like to close by reminding everyone to please give their dog a hug today. They will love you all the more and you will feel a million times better for it.
Bella’s mom, Sheree, and of course, Bella 😀

charon & gayle
Well hey, Charon & Gayle. It’s always so nice to hear from you. “Kismet”, I love that! Thanks for giving me a new word to play on. Bella is my writing inspiration a lot of the time. I love to write and it flows out of me so much smoother when my Bella is sitting quietly at my feet all the while keeping her big brown eyes focused on my face. I smile at her and her ears perk up, I whisper “I love you, Bella” and she lifts her head an nuzzles me. She is me, I am her, we are Kismet…hahahahaha. So nice to have you both as friends!
